We stick an XVend sticker on the machine (we don't modify the machine). The customer scans the QR with their phone camera, chooses the amount in the browser and pays with Apple Pay or Google Pay — no app, no account. Then they select the product directly on the machine, and the XVend module authorizes dispensing. The whole process takes 5-10 seconds.
The model has 3 components, with no upfront cost:
1. FREE Hardware — we provide the XVend module and QR stickers at no initial cost. No purchase cost.
2. Monthly fee — per-machine subscription, depending on the features you activate (basic QR payment, Cashless, Loyalty, Happy Hour, etc.). You pay only for what you use.
3. Per-transaction fee — a small percentage per payment, transparent. Money goes directly into your account through our partner acquirer.

The XVend module uses a 4G connection via integrated SIM — it doesn't depend on your WiFi or local internet. The only case where communication is interrupted is when the mobile carrier goes down (rare).
When this happens, the machine remains operational in cash mode — customers with coins or banknotes can still purchase. In the platform, you receive an immediate alert when a machine is offline, so you can act.
Yes, you never need to install any app. The whole process happens in the browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox). The customer scans the QR with their phone camera, a web page opens, they pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay natively, receive confirmation. That's it.

Yes. Payment processing is done by licensed banking acquirers — XVend never touches the money. All payments use standard Apple Pay / Google Pay tokenization — card data never passes through XVend, isn't stored anywhere on our systems.
Per PSD2 and PCI DSS standards, payments are end-to-end encrypted. For you, the operator, money goes directly into your bank account without an intermediary.
The transaction fee is borne by the operator and automatically deducted from each payment. The rate is transparent — you see it in the platform for every transaction.
